Happy New Year!

I remember how much fun I had shooting fireworks while sitting on that hill in Gas Works Park. Not to mention how much fun summer times were. Good stories, good company, ahhh!

This fireworks set was from Independence Day celebration in Seattle. Sitting in a park, with thousands of people around and a barge loaded with fireworks set to blow right over us! I had the camera firmly planted on my knee all the while crossing my fingers hoping the photos would come out. Having a tripod would have been a lot less fun that’s for sure.

I guess now, if ever, is a time to reflect on this year. It has definitely been a busy year. Likely one of the most action packed years to date. Between living in Seattle over the summer, studying my ass off in Ottawa and lounging on the beaches of New Jersey and Florida, it has been a good year. I’m grateful.

Here’s to hoping that 2009 will be as good a year as 2008.
